In the main gallery I have fifteen photographs captured with an 8” x 10” pinhole camera. The film is processed in my darkroom, scanned, edited in Photoshop, printed on Pictorico film, then white gold leaf is hand applied. The white gold leaf shimmers and expresses my reverence for the river, its precious and fragile nature, and our effects on it, past and present.
Outdoors in the Patterson Memorial Window I created seven fabric cyanotype scrolls, 3 x 7ish feet, each telling a different story of the river through quoted voices about the Kumeyaay, Birders, Japanese American farmers, Mission Valley Development, Boating, Homeless, and the river's voice.
